Agenda Choices Personalized to your Needs

We start with agenda building and incorporating the goals that each person brings to therapy. Therapy is our journey together to help you build the life you desire.

We identify and replace distorted thoughts and behavior patterns with more rational thoughts and behaviors.

We work on learning to process emotions and their impact on the psyche.

We work on how to respond versus just react or avoid and how to develop the emotional balance you need to feel safe, secure and stable.

I utilize client-centered therapy along with cognitive behavioral therapy, re-scripting and a variety of other approaches in my work with clients.

Agenda is client centered and choices are varied: possible examples below.

Recovery Issues

• Sticking points in Recovery; when you need more than 12-steps.

• Have been to treatment and can’t seem to connect to the Fellowship.

• On consent order (MD, RN, LPN) and need follow-up with a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Master Addiction Counselor (MAC).

• Are you the recovering person with a history of “in and out” of the fellowship and just can’t seem to get it? What prevents you from connecting to others or some facet of recovery?

Let us explore to see if deep core issues are preventing you from using tools of recovery. (Why you keep coming back and what is blocking you).

• Coping with Urges or Obsessions (re-occurring thoughts to use, romancing the stone, or rationalizations of it would be OK to use.

Re-scripting; how Past affects the Present

• How are past emotions and events affecting the “now” and how to use their purpose and transform to new behavior and new perceptions.

• How to increase awareness & stop reacting and learn to respond (where you choose) and to let go.
